FONDAMENTA S.r.l. was founded in 1993 as an evolution of SOGEFON, a company specialized in underground works since 1963, and incorporated PENATI and TITANIA, important and historic companies in the sector.
Nel 2006 FONDAMENTA incorporates by merger SOGEFON S.r.l. as the activity of the two companies has become increasingly complementary and similar, and a single company is able to give businesses a more complete service in terms of variety of jobs and flexibility in their execution.

FONDAMENTA has always operated exclusively with its own workers and equipment, covering the entire range of specialist underground works, the entire management of excavations and waterproofing, concrete foundation works and, thanks to fifty years of experience and constant training of staff and the continuous adaptation of the machinery to the technological evolution of the sector can always intervene with great efficiency and with the guarantee of an excellent result. The company’s main headquarters are in the heart of Milan in via Turati, 26. In addition to the company management, the headquarters includes all the technical and administrative offices. The operational base, including workshop, machine park, spare parts and materials warehouse is in Zibido San Giacomo (MI) in via Verdi 3.
ATTIVITÀ:
Since its inception, Fondamenta has operated in the field of foundations in all construction sectors.
Fondamenta operates exclusively with its own personnel and equipment and is able to cover almost all subsoil works. The foundation activity begins with preliminary feasibility studies, planning and continues up to testing. with an annual turnover that has stabilized over the years between 28 and 30 million euros, Fondamenta ranks among the very first among Italian companies in the sector and operates throughout the national territory, with a marked presence in northern Italy and in particular, in Lombardy, where proposes itself as a reference company. Abroad, Fondamenta has operated in various European countries, mainly in the south of France where it has worked continuously for several years. In 2015 Fondamenta got a new job at CERN in Geneva.
The company, which has completed over 1000 orders since 1993, has worked in the most important Italian infrastructures (roads, motorways, railways, airports, subways, etc.) and in the most important civil and construction works, both public and private (shopping centers , hospitals, residential buildings etc.)
Fondamenta also specializes in delicate interventions in city areas and inside buildings where particular precautions are necessary to safeguard their integrity. Thanks to a consolidated technical and engineering structure, Fondamenta follows the customer from the design phase to testing, where it specializes in carrying out load tests of up to 3000 tonnes.
In response to market requests, in recent years, Fondamenta has also opened a division capable of carrying out turnkey civil works, especially in the underground car park sector.
Between 2010 and 2013, a multifunctional center was completed in Pero (MI), and two important car parks in Milan (via Avezzana and Via Bazzini). An additional 550-space car park is being built in via Maffei, in the center of Milan with the top down technique (the contrasts to the diaphragms are guaranteed by the definitive slabs on the various floors).
